Welcome to Rock Mill Holiday Homes
Luxury Self-Catering Cottages - Walking distance to Embleton & Newton-By-The-Sea

Rock Mill Farm is the perfect location from which to explore Northumberland's Heritage Coast. Just 3 miles to the east are the picturesque sandy beaches of Newton-by-the-Sea and Embleton and within relatively easy walking distance to the north are Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh and to the south, Dunstanburgh Castle, Craster and Alnmouth. Just 6 miles inland from Rock Mill Farm lies Alnwick. At the heart of this medieval market town is Alnwick Castle (Harry Hotspur and Hogwarts), the extraordinary contemporary 'The Alnwick Gardens', which boasts one of the worlds largest tree houses with fabulous treetop restaurant and Barter Books, Britain's largest second hand bookshop. This said, by far our favourites in the area are the unspoilt tranquil coastal villages of Low Newton-by-the-Sea, High Newton, Embleton and Craster and the charming coastal walks along the endless sandy beaches and sand dunes that link them. And of course the essential Joiners Arms in High Newton, Ship Inn & Micro Brewery in Low Newton-by-the-Sea and The Jolly Fisherman in Craster; all along the way and each of which in our opinion boasts amongst the very best in cuisine that this most wonderful of coastal holiday destinations has to offer.

The Cottage itself was even better than it looked in the pictures - light, spacious and in a lovely spot. Everything we needed for the week was there. There is ample space both in and outside the property with a real wood burning stove for those chilly winter evenings.

"Outstanding Accommodation" (Reviewed 29 March 2012 Trip_Advisor)

The owners Elaine and Jeremy were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The cottage lived up to all our expectations, comfortable beds, very modern facilities but retaining a farmhouse character, with a small private garden that got the evening sun.

"Will definitely return." (Reviewed 30 July 2012 Trip_Advisor)
